Prevention Research Centers Network

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention funds the Prevention Research Centers Network (PRCs) to conduct applied public health research aimed at preventing chronic diseases and improving community health. Each PRC works closely with local communities to develop, implement, and evaluate evidence-based health interventions. By bridging the gap between research and real-world practice, PRCs ensure that effective health solutions are accessible, practical, and sustainable. Through partnerships and community-driven approaches, the Network addresses local and national public health priorities, helping to scale up interventions that promote long-term health improvements.
